hot tip: roadside weapon attacks are mostly dependent on where kasuga is when he stops running up to the target, not necessarily where he is standing when the attack command is given.

After lots of practice, and about 120 quickly-aborted games, I finally made it into The Unknown for a new high score on Timeshock! Not much else to say at the moment - I plan to add some commentary for this later. For now, enjoy the game!

Wow! great playing... I just picked this title up so thx for the vid. I'm looking forward to accomplishing the feat that you have done. I have to say this table looks fantastic on a 55 inch and in 4k. And from what I have played so far in the few hours of my playing this title was way ahead of it own time! 2016 and I'm playing it for the first time in 2024...

That strat at 36:58 was sick!
I have a hard time believing this is on insanity. Even on my hardcore playthrough, once my shields are down, one or two shots from super-elite enemies are enough to bring me to one healthbar, and that was with a 1,100 health and over 1,000 shields...
IIRC, there is a glitch where the arena caps out at normal difficulty.

The three-dimensional illumination is wonderful! I was blown away by the performance of carrying the ball at 1:38.
Man I had no clue you got bees and teleporters for free in Rush Mode. Looking to finish the game 100% by the end of tonight with this new information under my belt lol also very good streamlining for the Slime Key usage.

What a beautiful table, these Stern tables appear longer than the older Williams. I wonder if WIlliams never quit if pinball would be more popular.
these definitely take longer to play than Williams games! newer tables, including Stern games, are much more generous with how often they put players into Multiball - usually there's one or two that are only a few shots away from activating at the start of the game. in other words, that's a lot more *guaranteed play time* for a player to get access to right away. it's actually been a bit of a problem at our pinball league. with most of the older games we have, 4 players take about 10-20 minutes to finish their game, while on the newer games, most groups of 4 players take 20-30 minutes to finish - maybe longer if all the players are savvy with that game!

I don't understand how he can keep 15-17 slimes in a cage while feeding them 14 pears. In my runs, with 14 slimes in cages, at one point it starts a hurricane thrashing

Oh my goodness, I LOVED THIS GAME! I used to sit at the computer for HOURS playing this. There is nothing like a pinball game! That took true skill plus it was just clean fun! This brought back tons of memories. Blessings and Peace ❤️✝️

Followed this run cause SR2 is coming later this month. Got 101k on my first try. Doesn't hold a candle to your score but this was insane.

@@wingdingfontbro I've done that a few times but I'm not nearly as consistent with it. If my first gordo doesn't get at least 40 i just reset my attempt. lol!
Abandonware france has a file of this game including a windows installer so it boots right up (tested on windows 11). Great to have it but i do prefer the later ones. The ball movement is a bit choppy in this one.

I learned a lot watching your run especially at the beginning or how to run the the first area in general. Though I didn't follow your route, the way how you navigated the Ancient Ruins and the Glass Desert was especially useful...and I didn't know you could use gadgets in this mode, ahem. I went from 20-30k score to 170k+, thanks!

How I feel when grandma calls me handsome
i once did a speedrun on this mode, but didn't complete it, instead, i just got the mosaic slimes in 30 minutes, that helped a lot on getting 75K for the achievement. Ps: Im not the best speedruner, you see

At the end of the run I realized each prickly pear got him 4 ports each worth 75 each so think of each pear as the equivalent of a gold plort
This person has showed that flying in this game IS possible without using a jet pack
the fact that he is so decisive in his actions for almost 2 hours just terrifies me. absolutely terrifies me. it takes me 2 hours to just think of where to put my next slimes.

Try using the reegar carbine I think it does a lot more damage and use the Cerberus spirit armor mixed with spamming biotic charge and nova, I did this on insanity and achieved 16000 points

Min-maxing is the key.
Yeah I dunno, when I beat all the games on insanity, I played infiltrator and basically had to cheese with running and cloaking. 2-3 shots would kill me every time. Some abilities even one shot me. Though my damage output seemed better than this guy

I’ve never even played this mode and i had no clue that FRICKING GOLD GORDOS GAVE YOU SO MUCH MONEY!
they are replacment for the vaults so it's not just a "cheaty way to make the mode more appealing" and I think that figuring out how to get the most from the Gold gordos is a nice way to make the gameplay more interesting than running around and spamming E to open pods
Rush mode is not for me, i like to play SR in my own pace, but it's really interesting to watch, your run is incredible!
